more leak resistent than original lid
"The mouthpiece to our original PlanetBox water bottle tore, so we purchased this lid as a replacement. When comparing the old lid parts to the new lid parts, the new lid parts are smaller. I'm not sure if PlanetBox decreased the size of certain parts to improve the bottle's leak resistance. The old lid leaked frequently. We've only used the new lid a hand full of times since writing this review, but the new lid seems to leak less. I took a star off largely because it's difficult to fit some parts of the lid together (this is true for the old and new lid). One secondary complaint is that screwing the lid on the bottle is an unpleasant experience because the two metal parts grind together. I'm not sure what the solution would be since it's a water bottle made with no plastic parts (although, I'm not sure why silicon is not considered plastic since it is a plastic polymer and does release microplastics)."
