Six Years Strong - Still Our Favorite

"Planetbox has been my go-to for my daughter's school lunch gear since she was barely out of toddlerhood, she's turning 8 this summer, and we've had the same lunch box the entire time. Let that sink in: six years with the same box, and it still does its job beautifully. The bags are a different story. I've swapped those out here and there over the years, which honestly feels completely fair for something that gets tossed around in a backpack every single day. No complaints there. What keeps me coming back is how refreshingly simple these products are. No fussy plastic parts, no overcomplicated designs, just clean, durable, no-nonsense lunch gear that I actually feel good putting my kid's food in. As a parent who tries to avoid unnecessary plastics, that matters a lot to me. If you're looking for something that's built to last, easy to clean, and free of all the plastic-y extras — this is it. Genuinely recommend to any parent who wants to buy once and stop thinking about it."

    Rover/Launch Carry bag

"We LOVE the carry bags that go with the planet boxes. They are so durable and last forever. My child is still using the one we got him three years ago because the quality is so amazing but we got him a new one to keep it interesting and give him something new to look at during lunch. We will still use them both. These lunch boxes and bags have been great for my children with severe food allergies. I feel confident when I send them to school that their lunches are secure, safe, better for them and for the planet. I love planet box and I was not paid for this review!🌎"

    Fits everything well

"I put an ice pack under the rover and then the intended ice pack in the sleeve. Love the utensil straps. And the thermos can fit in the bottle slot!"

    Moldy, not washable

"This lasted 2 months before it was covered in mold. The inner lunchbox leaks if there is the slightest amount of moisture in the food. The product just doesn't make sense, it needs to be washable if the lunchbox itself is leaky."

    Our granddaughter was so excited

"Our granddaughter was so excited to get this lunchbox as a gift. She is an artist so loved the splatter paint design and the practicality of a shoulder strap to keep her hands free for carrying other things."

    Perfect lunchbox

"Nice lunchbox with loads of storage. Love the adjustable handle"

    Anita F. (5/5)

Nice at first, not durable - lasted 2 months

"Love our planetbox steel lunchboxes, but the bags are not durable. We had a different model of planetbox bag that started getting holes after a few months near the zipper where it was making contact with the corners of the lunchbox. We bought this model as a replacement, but after two months we are seeing the same holes forming where the corners of the lunchbox come into contact with the material around the zipper (we have two of these bags and it's happening on both - it's a design flaw, not a defect). This really needs to be better reinforced. We will be looking elsewhere for bags, which is a shame because the features are nice."

Good bag but big for the intended age

"The bag itself is good but with a full metal lunch box inside, it’s just too big for the intended age group. Straps or a centered handle would be better. The velcro pocket is also so secure it becomes hard to open for a pre schooler. Otherwise, serves its purpose well."
