Spring Activities With Mother Nature

Spring Activities With Mother Nature

With extra time spent at home these days we've been working on learning new skills to keep ourselves and the family occupied. Here at PlanetBox we've spent the last decade providing products and recipes to help guide our community towards creating healthy habits for people and planet. This Spring, we're taking those habits one step further by connecting with Mother Nature by growing our own food!

Studies suggest that children who spend more time outdoors in nature have more white and grey matter in their brain which helps with cognitive functioning. With the family at home these days now is the perfect time to let nature take part in our daily learning.

Starting Seedlings

Sprout Pods:

Our Pods make the perfect plastic free option for starting seedlings! Pick your favorite veggies and herbs and start learning how to grow your own garden. Share any leftover seeds you have with friends and family and connect by sharing the progress of your gardens.

Budding Box:

Another seed starter option uses what you already have at home! Save your toilet paper rolls to fill with soil and seeds. This is a great option for plants that don't like to have their roots disturbed like squash. Simply plant their entire roll in the ground once the seedlings are mature.

Scavenger Box:

When you're not eating healthy meals from your lunchbox use it to have an outdoor scavenger hunt! The many compartments make it easy to track what you've found outdoors and save for collecting. Spring is the perfect time for an outdoor scavenger hunt when each week new blooms are popping up.
